Bowman M122

Back »

Bowman Models by Geoffrey Bowman-Jenkins were made at Dereham, Norfolk between 1925 and 1936 and they are virtually indestructible.

This was my twin cylinder Bowman M122 (now sold), which came from a good friend of mine on the Mamod Steam Forum. It is in really good condition for a 70-year-old engine and is complete with its original M122 wooden box. I decided to not restore or even polish this engine, and left it in its original tarnished and play worn condition.

Some of the Bowman adverts of the time talk about, the M122 lifting 112 lbs with pulleys! I don’t know about that but I do know this twin piston engine goes like the clappers and ran like a dream.
